It's the middle of February. I know, late to update. But if you couldn't tell, there is no major event running along the Grand Ball. As well, we are going to start pushing more with the grand event. We don't want to exactly hurry everything along, but we do want action to start happening! Feel free to continue to post and enjoy it. Watch out for the drama that is about to go down~

The Mission Rules Empty The Mission Rules

Post by Luna Tue Jun 12, 2018 9:25 pm

Missions are a great way to get cash as well as finally gain your next level to get a new talent. However, there are some rules about them that we'd like to explain to you all before we let you all go and have your fun. Please follow these rules when joining missions.

Mission Requests

We have a thread where you can ask for a mission. We ask that you start a thread somewhere where the mission should be and you post with your character(s) heading towards the beginning/meeting point/what have you. It is not required, but it is very helpful if you copy the mission details and post it on that first post for your mod. Or even simply a link to the requested detail mission post. Again, not required but helpful. Once you have made your mission thread (With the name of the mission as the title and a MISSION tag in the title, copy the code posted on the first post, post it on your own reply to the request mission thread and fill it out. You may have up to 4 characters in one mission at a time or as little as one...save for tier level up missions. Please add everyone's names in the CHARACTERS JOINING section. Including your own. A mod will come around and start the mission up for you once he or she sees all characters listed in the mission request post has posted. Once the Mod posts, no others may join. As easy as that.

Tier Breakdowns

We have levels in 5 different Tiers. Levels 1-4 are in Tier 1. Level 5-8 are in Tier 2. Levels 9-12 are in Tier 3. Levels 13-16 are in Tier 4. And levels 17-20 are in Tier 5. Going from easy to difficult. With each new tier you get into, the stronger the enemies will become, the harder the challenges, and the longer the thread will be. Mods will be pushing your character to your limits and striving for a failure on your part. Consider Tier 1 your freebie levels. Your learning levels. Once you jump into Tier 2, nice Mods are nowhere to be found. In Tiers 2-5, it is much harder to jump to your next one. As in, every 4th level (9, 13, and 17) we have what is known as Competitive Collaborations. As in, one group vs the other with the winner taking all. These levels must be Competitive otherwise the mission won't count. So what does that mean? Well you better hope someone has a character that is also trying to gain that level to the next tier. However, that is in a perfect world. There will be times when people do not have characters in their tier that can mission with them to jump to the next tier. If by chance there is no available person, the mod will take a notable NPC from the list we have created and use them to face up against you in the CC mission. As well, it is strictly prohibited to help someone on a mission that is not apart of your tier. It allows an unfair advantage with the easier missions. So, someone from level 10 cannot help someone do a level 4 mission as they are in 2 different tiers. However, you may help your friends once they jump to the level 5 mission.

Level 9, 13, and 17 Missions

As stated earlier, these missions will be CC Mission. As in one or more groups must join. Starting at level 9, you will have two different groups go head to head, winner takes all. Examples are Valentines vs Rossis, TCPD vs Free Agent(s), Untamed vs Free Agent(s). You are allowed up to 6 people to join this mission or as little as 2.In level 13, you will now have to have three groups go at it with one another with the same idea: Winner takes all. Examples would Valentines vs Rossis vs TCPD. You may have up to 8 people joining this mission at one time. At level 17, you now have four groups heading after one common goal: Gaining that next tier level up. At this stage, it is very difficult for one group to win as you have many different talents to use and many different people fighting for this spot. Example: TCPD vs Rossis vs Untamed vs Valentines. At this level, you may only have up to 10 people join to move up to the next tier.

Joining a Mission you already Passed

You may, as long as you are in the same tier as the friend, join a mission with another person even if you finished it and gained that level. However, you cannot do it as a mission for yourself. You will enter it as if it is a regular thread. When the mission is done, you will be graded differently. While the friend gets the flat mission rate, you do not. Keep that in mind when you join missions with your friend if you jump up in missions before them.

Level 21 Mission

You finally got to level 20 and you think everything is done. There is nothing else to do right? Wrong. We have a super secret level called Level 21. this is a very elite level that not everyone can get into. In fact, it is nearly impossible. In this level, we will have a five-way battle. One Rossi, one Valentine, one Untamed, one TCPD, and one Free Agent will enter this mission where there can only be one winner. Everyone else must wait until next time it is hosted. Let me explain this level in more detail. Once we have all 5 contenders (There will be no doubling up. Simply 5 people), they will enter a special arena hosted by an Admin. This special arena will be set for the entire city where each contender will be given a very specific task. Every time this mission comes around, the task will change. This task will force you all to use not just your talents, but also your weapons and items. Failing gets a lot easier. Once your character reaches 0 HP, you are out. This mission is over when there is only one left standing. You do not want to fail as it might take days to months before the next one opens up again. Once you have passed, you have now gained the exclusive level that only few can hope to gain. You will be paid some serious cash as well as gaining one last extra talent, maybe even a very a goodie bag. For the losers, while you gain money, you MUST post two recovery post before joining the next one. These recovery threads will be placed higher than normal recovery threads as you could have actually died. You will need to then prove that you have had your recovery threads graded before joining the next event.

Civilians past level 8

So here's the deal, Civilians. When we start doing our CC missions, as you can clearly see, you are left out. The reason being is that, as Civilians, you have little to contribute physically wise unless you join a different faction. Once you get to Level 8 as a combat oriented person, if you would like to get to level 9, you must join TCPD, Valentines, Rossis, Untamed, or Free Agents. These are the rules and we're sticking to them. However, for those who do wish to simply be a Civilian through and through, you will become essentially merchants or masters of a trade. Yes! Your missions will revolve around the whatever crafty thing you do best and you will battle one another for top dog spot. That's right~ You will follow rules just like any other class...but you have chosen to move away from a life of crime in the city (Or otherwise, protecting it). Instead, as your prize, for reaching level 21, you will gain your own notable location, become top news around the city, and cash in on some major prizes. Unlike the others who can reach level 21 much faster, to be a civilian one takes a lot more hard work and dedication. As such, your rewards for reaching level 21 will be higher to balance out being out of the turf wars of the city. This is also not granted to someone who is in another faction with a "day job". Either you choose to be a level 21 Civilians, or you go another route.
