Beach Event: Beach Volleyball

It was an impressive serve...but a more impressive hit back. Without any help from anyone else, Jr had managed to get the ball back on over to the Blue side and score a point...thought Rune did try her best to save it.

The whistle was blown and the referee spoke. "Point for the RED TEAM. Red Serve this time." Picking up the ball, he threw it on over to the Red side so they could volley it on over to the blue team.

Sireissa had gotten ready to go after the ball. Once they had all stopped hovering over her, not that she minded if the Unibros did, they got into positions to then volley the ball on over and try and score a point. Her duel colored eyes watched as the ball had went from the white haired girl on over to their side. The Siren was going to get ready to then attack the ball. Or at the very least, hit it back over. But, as luck would have it, the guy with the dark hair called dibs and knocked it back with full force. Something she hadn't seen yet.

And as best as the other team tried to keep from letting them score, the raven haired girl simply was no match for this guy who volleyed the ball on over. Score for their team. Now someone needed to serve.

Deciding that she might as well be the one to do so, Sireissa had picked up the ball and looked it over. All she had to do was throw it on over? No. Hit it on over. Yeah that was what she had to do. Well, here went nothing? With a glance over to both Arden and Aeolus to make sure she was doing this right, the siren hit the ball and the game started again. Hopefully.

Proficient: Gymnastics

"Awe shit." Arden watched as Sireissa went to smack the ball, and fail. Somehow the ball went straight into the sand, with a grin he would walk over to her, holding his hands out. "Here 'lil fish, let me try. Let's see if we can't shed some blood, eh?" All of his stud game was off now, his competitive nature now spurred him on. It was time to win this game, even if it meant hurting the pretty ladies on the other side. As she handed the ball to him, he would grin, then wink at her. throwing the ball up into the air he would jump for it, attempting to spike it as hard as he could.

Ah. So Biran was one of those guys. Well, at the very least he was pleasant enough for some so full of himself, so that was something. Still he couldn't help but feel that under that veneer of pleasantry he was judging Salem as an inferior. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, maybe he was overthinking things, but Salem did have quite the grasp on the concept of facades. After all, his own pleasant attitude was a cover up for an on-edge, neurotic and sleep deprived guy. “Well, good to know you can cover for at least one of us if you have to.” Salem said, forcing a smile.

Alpha was a strange one to say the least. If Salem didn't know any better he'd assume perhaps the man was a robot. Well, actually, he didn't know any better; who knows what's possible in a city with as many strange life forms as this? But he tried to assume Alpha was probably not his real name and lost a bet to behave like a robot for a day or something. He was remarkably good at his performance… As Harper introduced him to James, James tried to wave himself off as if to steer attention away from himself. Salem merely waves back, since he didn't seem interested in communicating. It didn't look like the guy wanted to be here at all. Granted, Salem never planned to go to the beach in the first place. Or play volleyball. It was hard for Salem to judge.

That's when his eyes caught something: it was that strange guy from the bus stop who tried to pick his pocket and stole the notebook from him. Granted, the notebook wasn't of any importance to Salem but the intention to steal from him in the first place was something he didn't quite take kindly to. “Hrm…” Salem grunted, narrowing his eyes at Orion, who clearly spotted him as he did so. He had half a mind of telling Harper and James about the pickpocket but the crime was so minor it wasn't worth spoiling the mood over. Besides, he had a good chance here to give Orion his comeuppance. Squeezing his hand into a fist, he readied for action.

The first round didn't go at all in their favour. Red team slammed the ball down do quickly Rune could do nothing to react, as fast as she was. A valiant effort nonetheless. “Damn… These guys are pretty good…” Salem said through grit teeth to his team. He was starting to look pretty fired up, in stark contrast to his more polite and reserved character from earlier. “Let's hope that first point made them a tad too cocky.” He said, as he watched one of them fail to serve the ball over the net. He chalked it up to bad luck over bad skill; it was best never to underestimate one’s opponent. Another player took the server’s place and tossed the ball into the air and slammed it towards them with incredible speeds. However, Salem could see the trajectory he was hitting at, apparently having it head over to Salem. “I got this one!” Salem said, leaping into the air and palming at the ball with as much force downward over the net as he could.

Rolling Tenacity with Proficiency

'Proficient' :

He hated this game… Why he’d decided to join was beyond him, but he looked over and knew why. Sireissa trying to serve the ball and Arden helping her pick up the slack. In truth, he hated all kinds of sports even though he was relatively decent at them, and he was quick to pick up rules and such, but still… The heat, the sweat, the sand making it difficult to move… Not to mention the fact that the other team was full of beautiful women, and though they all seemed to catch his eye, none of them really captured his full attention in the way that they would most men. Bodies were bodies, after all, and most looked much better dead to him anyway… Not that he fucked the dead, but he wasn’t exactly as enthusiastic about fucking people in general.

Shaking off his thoughts, he turned his attention back to the game just in time to see a male with black hair hitting the ball back to them. Moving quickly, Aeolus used his speed and agility to get where he needed to be before attempting to hit the ball back over the net to the other team.
