Leveling up your Character

Post by Game Master on Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:19 pm

You might be wondering right about now how to do that. Well, no worries, we are here to help you move your character up the leveling system with this easy guild.

First thing you need to know is that in order to level up, you must preform a mission. Yes. Missions advance you to the next level! So now that you know why there are missions, let me explain further. In order to move up, you must complete a mission and be rewarded. As in get the stamp of approval from the mod saying you completed the mission.

The mission in question must be the level you wish to gain. Example would be a level 5 player wants to move up to level 6. The player must complete a level 6 mission to its end and finish it. Then you may move to the next level of 6.

Easy right? Well it would be if we actually let you move up your level rank on your own. As that is one of the few things we do not allow you to do yourselves. Not that we don't trust you. It's just that we don't trust you. Not to worry. We got that covered. All we ask you to do is to follow a format and ask to be moved up in level. Easy. No sweat. After that, you are free to go about your day.

But wait. I'm a level 5 character and I just finished a level 7 mission. Does that mean I can move straight to level 7?

No. While we commend you on finishing a level higher than your current level objective, we will not be advancing you to that higher level. If we did that, just about everyone would be trying to get through that level 20 mission and ending up killing themselves. We would like to have your characters around longer than creation. What you can do, however, is join other members in their higher mission. This will allow you to already have the higher mission done so when it comes time to asking for a level up, you can go from level 5 to level 7 with proof of finished missions.

See, we aren't completely heartless.

Re: Leveling up your Character

Does anything else happen when you level up?

Great question! The answer is yes. Every time you level up, you gain a +1 Talent. What do we mean by that? Just as it sounds. Once you gain that new level, you are allowed to add a new Talent to any Talent section you want. We are not going to force you to follow a strict path of when you can add Athleticism or Combat. For all we care, you could have 20 different combats added to what you already have.

But as I just stated, remember that you only get 20 new Talents total. So choose wisely. As well, this feature is left open for you the people to do yourselves. So do not abuse the gift.

So for those who are still confused, let me explain more. You have finally leveled up to level 1 from level 0. Congrats! Not only do you get money for completing your mission, get moved up a level slot, and get 10 more HP, you get one extra Talent. This means you may add another Talent to your 8 Talent list. This new Talent can be anything. Such as but not limited to Cooking, Acting, Insight, Jumping, Alcohol intake, Legalism, Water Magic, Blow Darts.

Or anything else you can think of that your character might learn one day. So think outside the box or in it. It's bigger on the inside after all. and come up with some good ideas. When it comes to leveling up in rapid fire (as in you jumped levels. Like lvl 5 to lvl 6 to lvl 7 after filling out the appropriate information as stated earlier), you still get both level's Talent Proficientcy's so no worries. In that case, you get as many as you leveled up.
