An outing of sorts

Post by Jasmine Ward on Tue Oct 17, 2017 2:21 pm

They had only been in the city for a good month at most. Regardless, that did not stop Jasmine from doing her best at looking into the vampire man who had taken her brother from her. However, this was not the case as of right now. At the moment, her and the man she loathed to call partner were sitting outside at a fairly expensive cafe. She had originally had come out with the intention of being left alone. However, Siresh was his own man and had decided to follow her out of the crawl space that was called their "apartment". In truth, they were renting someone's upstairs. It came with one bedroom, a second room, a living room, and a kitchen and bathroom. It might have been good for say a university student trying to save money, not two full grown adults who were attempting to run some sort of business through the room.

The city, from what she had seen of it so far, was very interesting. There were many problems that mirrored human life out there in the 'real' world. Races were discriminated against here, there was a dark underbelly that continued to evade the cops, the cops seemed to not be very good at their jobs if they allowed all this to be going on. For that matter, she had heard of rumors of some sort  of vigilantly group doing their own thing. It was clearly a mess. But a mess she and Siresh could easily use to their advantage. Who would notice a small group slipping through the cracks breaking the law on their own. They would either get lumped in with a mafia group or the rebel group. Later down the road, that might not be a good thing, but for now it was fine while they catch their bearings.

Jasmine sat there ad drank her black coffee, eyes closed and attempting to enjoy whatever kind of outing this was with as little hindrance from Siresh as possible. If that was possible. He more than likely was doing something stupid right about now. He more than likely was planning on...well she wasn't sure what but it was something.

Opening her eyes, her mood spoiled already, she glared at the man who was sitting across the table from her. Originally she had planned to sit inside, but it was such a nice day that it was better to sit outside and enjoy the sites of the city. But, the sites were on pause while she was sitting here. She needed to know what this guy was doing. So she simply asked. "Why are you here?" A bit forward, but that was the point. But, she was going to have to revise what she even asked, knowing the company she was with. "And I don't mean why you are here drinking coffee. Why did you come out to bother me?"

Re: An outing of sorts

Post by Siresh Brozus on Thu Oct 19, 2017 11:44 am

Siresh was no stranger to big cities and trains. They went hand in hand in his early adult hood. Leave from his university in Boston, take the Red Line subway to South Station, get on the Acela Express to NYC's Penn Station, and get on the next LIRR to home sweet home in Long Beach, New York. Not to mention all the years he spent running from the law, years after those good times. Siresh Brozus lived on public transportation all his life, and even under the alias of Bronze he seemed to frequent the subway quite a lot. This new city was just like any other. He had an edge over his partner, who's Nordic roots probably had her sheering sheep and milking goats through to her young adulthood. Not that he knew that for sure, or even cared where she came from. Just like his upbringing didn't matter. As far as he was concerned, he was born out of the womb a man with the short name of 'Bronze' and that was it. At least for right now, his partner was ok with that and she probably would be so long as he didn't ask about her story.

When they met in Norway, she was quite upfront about her situation and what she needed out of their arrangement together. To find a man that could have her brother or at least be linked to his whereabouts. Since then, Daniel Ward has been a difficult one to track down. To be frank, it's quite possibly been his greatest challenge in all of his missing person cases. Unfortunately, Jasmine didn't say a whole lot about this case. But honestly, Bronze typically only needed a name and he could find what he was looking for with ease. This was not one of those situations and his biggest trouble was asking her for more details. Like why this vampire had Daniel to begin with? When? Where? How? It was something as slight as that and it would probably give the boost he needed. But something held Bronze back from asking. Likely their silent agreement of don't ask don't tell regarding one another's past. His questions would likely betray that and the last thing he wanted to do was trigger any questions about his own life.

So here our anti-hero is; sitting on the subway and tinkering on his phone, trying to figure out how he's going to hold up his end of the deal to his partner. Ironically now that he was trying to evade digging into her childhood secrets, he found himself infringing on her general privacy. Or at least the confidence of being able to go out without any care. A tracker placed on her favorite hairpiece? Bronze didn't see the harm of it! The man's morale compass was totally out of whack, for sure. When he got close to the signal, he got off the the train, and worked his way up to the surface. Once there, he just had to walk down a few blocks and bam. There she was. She seemed to be deep in thought over something so Bronze would sneak by, get himself a cup of tea at the coffee shop, and walk outside to convene with his partner. Her eyes would open to his dashing and dangerous smiling face. Her response to his presence wasn't so friendly.

He was about to answer her smartly but then she clarified. Like she already knew him or something. "Bother you? Sweetheart, never." He'd roll his eyes and lean back in his seat with a chuckle escaping his lips. "I was just out for a stroll and happened upon you here. Figured we'd chat." Like they didn't have enough time to chat at home. They seemed to spend every waking moment together. The landlord downstairs at least believes them to be a couple. If they were both good enough at acting, maybe they could get the entire city to believe it. It would surely make Jasmine's day. "I noticed that you like your coffee like you like your men. Black as the night. You've got a pretty prime candidate sitting across from you, you know?" And this is exactly what poor Jasmine meant by bothering her. But yes, Bronze was this annoying on purpose. He loves getting reactions from people. "You just need but to ask and this glorious midnight stallion could whisk you away for the evening of your life." Indicating to himself, hand to his heart like some kind of romantic. He was toying with her. Not break ice, but shatter it so that she can't reach him if he needs to draw back. Shock her so much that he has all the room to turn tail. Literally.

Re: An outing of sorts

Post by Jasmine Ward on Sun Oct 22, 2017 11:34 am

And here he came, waltzing on over to bother her, like she knew he would. It was bound to happen one way or another, but she had hoped that maybe one day it would never happen. Ever. But such a life was lot to her while she knew and worked with this man. Part of her was already used to him and his weird outbursts, but she was not prepared for this comment that came out of his mouth. It was enough of a wild accusation to make the poor girl nearly drown on her coffee. Did she just hear what she thought she just heard? Yes, yes she did and he continued to comment on it so boldly too. Jasmine needed to recover.

"Unnskyld meg?" It was the first words that came out of her mouth and it was in her native tongue. It wasn't as if Siresh didn't know the language. He knew it well enough to live in Norway for a while. It just felt like, at least to her, he was either rusty or didn't care to keep up with it. Regardless, she spoke from there. In English this time. "I'm sorry, I'm not into creamed coffee. You might want to sell your wares somewhere else." Jasmine looked away, reading her paper of the city and it's happenings. Twin City Weekly was a well of knowledge of things that were happening around town. Different items on display, criminals and their crimes, the gossip on the Valentine Family as well as the Rossi members. According to this, Trever Valentine had an affair with Rhyan Rossi. What a scandal.

Turning the paper over for Siresh to see, she turned the headlines into something of a real conversation. If he was going to bother her, she might as well get something useful out of him. "What do you think of this? The Valentine and Rossi Affair. Do you think it is a real thing? Or just something that they are taking out of context?" If she was going to ask anyone this kind of question, it was going to be Siresh. K. Brozus. After all, he was always ranting and raving about something that the media was doing either wrong or right. Regardless, she was asking for a reason. If there was some bad blood between them, that meant they might get some good business...or it would mean that they need to keep their nose out of their business and lay low for a bit.

"I'm sure either both parties are going to try and use this to their advantage, or are very upset with this and will try and blame the other for this scandal. It could mean a pretty big turf war. And if that's the case, that means just about everyone is going to be going all out for this. The Cops, Untamed, both mafias..and I'm sure some people like us trying to muscle in on anyone willing to pay." Jasmine waited to see what his reaction was going to be. Even the slightest twitch of an eyebrow tends to give people away without them knowing. Though, this was Bronze. Bronze was different than Siresh. In the Bronze mode, as she called it, the man before her became still, calculating, and a bit crazy. It was more than likely the reason she didn't mind working with him so much. When she worked alongside him, though he still got under her skin, he made sure she got out of any situation alive and mostly well. He predicted the unpredictable to a point.

Jasmine leaned back and sipped her coffee, waiting for the verdict from her partner. If you asked her, it would be a good way to get their foot in the door, to play against everyone. If they gave their loyalty to any group, then if they got caught working with another group, that would get them into trouble...but to miss this chance, it was something that idiots would do. "If you want my opinion, I say this is a good way to get our foot in the door of this city. If we do it correctly. I'd rather not find myself at the bottom of the ocean tied to cement block. Though, I value your opinion since you are my partner. If you think this is a bad move, then I'll respect that. But if you want to do something, I'm all ears."

Bronze watched her with a sort of twisted grin. His ability to get a reaction out of people was nearly unbeatable. Even the most monotone and stoic blond he had ever met was powerless to his strange but well timed one liners. To have someone like Jasmine Ward abandon her senses and react to something so mundane was so liberating. She even was so thrown she uttered words in her native tongue. She said this phrase enough times for him to recognize and know it, but the words that came from him next were just a formality of keeping her off her edge. "You keep calling me unskilled. That's quite offensive when I'm just sitting here having a friendly conversation with you." His grin would curl up even more. Until Jasmine said her next piece and it wiped the smirk right off his face. "Creamed? You Hollywood whitewash of Attack on Titan, you take that back." He sneered a bit into his tea then and took a sip. Of course Bronze didn't think his complexion was as dark as black coffee. His identity crisis wasn't that intense, but he did believe that having a Turkish parent made him a lot more exotic than his appearance actually suggested. In fact, he wasn't upset enough to sneer either but it was all a part of his game, to keep people on their toes around him. Make them feel as crazy as he was when he was present. A commanding presence of chaos, if you will. Of course, he didn't fog light his partner to be dishonest with her. Rather, he was keeping his own claws sharp and her senses keen, so to speak. She would learn one day he's not all he puts on a show for.

Ah, but this is what he liked about Jasmine. Even through his buffoonery, she was about to keep her eyes locked on the task. He sat back then and crossed his left leg over his fake one, tea in hand. He waited for her to flip through the tabloid trash and present her ideas forward. It was an intriguing issue this morning indeed. One he did his homework on before coming to find her. Having the exact thoughts as she did on this. This is why they were a good team; they were both a little crazy. Two people fucking with the two biggest mafia's in a city they had been in just shy of a month? It was bold. It was so bold it was borderline fucking insane. His lips would curl into a smirk as she asked for his opinion on the matter and he'd set his tea down, rummaging through his old and well-worn leather messenger bag that he's had since his young Siresh-hood. He'd pull out a tablet with a blacked out screen, one that people cant see into unless looking directly straight at it. "Oh, I know it's a real thing. And this isn't their first rodeo together." He'd pull up files on the tablet via his smartphone, tethered together wirelessly, so that he could present her with what he wanted her to see and look at the same thing at the same time together without looking conspicuous. He'd pull up various photos, between what he had dug up on cameras around the city, random sightings, and other sources. He'd first show her a most intriguing website, "Tiberius was a wild man in his younger years." He'd refer to the party in question as a false name to keep folks from thinking they had any right to listen in. "Had a whole site filled with his own pornographic content, exhibiting himself with various women around the city. A real player." He wouldn't keep her on the site too long though and would move on to the next bit.

He'd show her a picture of someone not completely related to the issue at hand, Trever's wife, Willow Valentine formerly Heart. "You know who that is, right? Of course you do." Then put a picture of Rhyan side by side with Willow. "Wendigo and Randy have been at it for centuries, legit, centuries. Randy just wants those jewels just to spite Wendigo. It's part of this struggle that's been around long before myself and you. Tiberius falls for it every time." He'd then pull up an image of a young man. "They even made this arts and crafts project a few suns back when they last fell into a ditch together." He'd close that out then and play some video feed from a camera in the Rossi hotel across the city from the Valentine one. Not as well known since Rossi's supposedly are in control of the underworld of the city. "They entered roughly there at the time stamp." Then shows feed of the elevator ride, which gets pretty steamy. A willing altercation. Then the walk ripping one another clothes off all the way to the hotel suite and going in. "That's where we lose sight of our heroes of legend. But that enough proof for you?"

He'll let Jasmine have control of the tablet for anything she may need to look at again, any details he may of missed. Putting his phone away, he'll look to her and fold his hands together on the table. "The story needs work still. But I'm glad I've got you on my team as a co writer. I think we can benefit greatly from going into this together." He'll then sit back. "Keep your ears to the ground I guess and let me know what you find?"

Re: An outing of sorts

Post by Jasmine Ward on Mon Oct 23, 2017 12:38 am

She rolled her eyes. That comment only made her feel like he really was slacking on her native tongue. Though she was sure he did know what she said. There were a few phrases she said to him so many times he could more or less get the meaning behind it. But that wasn't important right now. It was down to business as the two started talking about the latest and greatest thing to hit them since who knows when. The cat before her snagged a tablet and handed it to her to look at while they conversed on the matters.

Her blue eyes glanced down, looking at a...well at a home porn site made by one Trever Valentine. From the few snapshots she saw, not that she really cared too much about the site in general, he, 'Tiberius', had quite a number of different videos with many different women. Some with a guest star appearance from one girl named Ace. The site was quickly replaced by a woman with light born hair, pale skin, deep red eyes, and a poker face that could not be beat. The woman was known well as Trever's current wife. Though strangely, the two never seemed to be together side by side. Strange. But not important at the moment. The second picture was that of a woman with a healthier looking skin tone, black hair, and the eyes that would screamed come hither.

A new picture had been brought up as Bronze continued to speak. The young man in question had the same colored features as his mother, but anyone looking at him would no doubtfully understand that he was Trever's son. One of his many sons. "Sad, he's kinda cute." He had that shy look to him. The kind that pulled at your heartstrings. But again, his picture  was replaced by video content that she was not interested in. Once the slide show was done, Jasmine went back to the picture of the two woman side by side. Tilting her head to the side, it felt as if anything was going to happen between the two, it would be the rift started because Trever couldn't keep it in his pants. A feud between these two? They could easily pay good money for the other to vanish.

Jasmine enlarged Rhyan's picture on the tablet. "Tell me more about Randy and the arts and craft project. How does Wendigo feel about it? Is the finished result something Wendigo wants to throw out the window? And also..." Jasmine returned Rhyan's picture to normal and brought up Willow's on the tablet. "Wendigo...by the looks of it, we have ourselves a vampire. What do you know about vampire edict. I don't want to be rude when going to speak with her and I end up insulting her." Vampires, from what Jasmine understood, were very too themselves most of the time, but also had a close ear to others in their area. In a city like Twin City, it would be hard to not hear something about another vampire's doings.

Her thoughts continued on as she brought the boy's picture up again and looked at him. He was the product of a scandal. How did either head of house react to this? Was this poor boy something no one wanted, or was one willing to keep him closer than the others? Jasmine tapped her fingers against the tablet as she continued to speak. "The arts and craft project. Who has it now in their home? I'd like to go and see it for myself. Maybe get a few good pictures of it and see exactly what makes it so special if at all. And Tiberius...Is he looking to keep Randy around for another project?" Though, that kind of question was more so directed at herself. If Trever was planning to take Rhyan to bed again, how was Willow going to take this? Did Willow want Rhyan out of the picture? Or was there more money in keeping Rhyan in?

She turned off the tablet and handed it back to Siresh with a smile. "Well, it looks like I'll have a lot of work on my hands. Playing catch up in all of this is a bit tedious...but this is why I have you to sort out all the old news from the current news. One way or another, one side of the story is going to make us very rich reporters, don't you think?" Taking her coffee back in her hands, Jasmine sipped it and leaned back in her chair. Her right thumb traced the lip of the cup as she just let all the information settle in. It was not going to be an easy five step program. It was going to take time to develop this story. Though, people these days eat up lies like candy.

Re: An outing of sorts

Post by Siresh Brozus on Tue Oct 24, 2017 12:26 pm

Jasmine was a sharp girl. Very attentive and focused in a lot of things that she did. Bronze was impressed with her a lot more than he would ever admit. To be fair, he was typically off the wall and hyperactive in most cases so it can be hard for even him to stay on task. Not a good quality for a hacker to have at all, but thankfully he's made do thus far in his career. What made it easier was his new partner. He'd never say it out loud but Jasmine really helped him in moments like this, thinking about the bigger picture and then tapping into the finer details he didn't care to look at.

Her questions seemed endless but were very thought provoking. Bronze wondered if he should have been more prepared before coming to her with this. Frankly, there were a few he didn't know. But if they were important for her, he could surely find an answer. He'd open up his phone again to do what digging he could from his remote access. "I don't have a lot of the answers to those personal details. I can't read minds." He'll smirk then and sort of chuckle. "Yet." His grin would flash up at her like he had a plan that would make him entirely capable of that. To be fair, he may have plans, but he needed to get into his own head first before he could get into anyone else's. A long time goal of his was to continue his work in the military where he left off, giving people remote access to a world of information with merely a wave of thought from the brain and even enhancing signals from the average mind to make the body stronger. An direct link and user friendly interface that would make the brain into a super computer for the body.  Feel less pain, grow and recover tissues at faster rates, Any crazy neurological hookups like that were far from his reach now. All that data was gone aside from the concept itself.

But imagine a world where everyone had access to this technology? Beings could essentially edit their entire physical makeup with a whim. Make the brain release hormones that it wouldn't normally without stimulation, provide effects that could change someone's entire physical composition. Leaner, fatter, bulkier. Even able to change physical characteristics over time like sex or even reverse the aging process. You can't change DNA but who knows, maybe there would even be a way to change characteristics of one's race in time? And his favorite part? If everyone used this technology, they essentially became technology...able to be hacked and bended to his own sinister will. It was going to be his life's work. He could of been a hero of health and science who's name would be remembered through history. He had nearly made a breakthrough on it, could of had his own body running on the system within the next year...but then he got fucked over and that's another story. In fact, all his thoughts at this moment had nothing to do with the task at hand. Time to get back on track.

"As far as vampire etiquette is concerned, just don't cut yourself. Other than that, they're really old fashioned most of the time so I guess wear something Edwardian in nature and powder your nose." Bronze really couldn't say on that mark either but that was usually Jasmine's territory anyway. She was a lot better at acting than he was, and he was still pretty good too. "The crafts belongs to himself, it's done growing at this point. But Tiber took control of it and built it up in the pretty early stages. I'd imagine it's on his shelf now." Bronze will think about that then and dig up on Eric a bit. As far as he or anyone knew at this point, the guy's pretty neutral. He likes to explore the world with his dog and come back home from time to time. No doubt this explorer is funded on the Valentine's dime though seeing as he doesn't have a job himself. "Quite honestly, nab it in a foreign country while its flying around and Tiberius and Randy will likely pay good family dollars to get it back on their shelf, you know what I'm saying?" Fuck formalities, lets just take a hostage. That was a very Bronze suggestion. "Foreigners of my complexion love stealing people and putting their heads on display too. Just look at ISIS." Again, not even going by his own racial pocket but still profiling as if that's normal. Also a very Bronze thing to say. At least it was closer than him being straight up black coffee.

He'll shrug it off then, knowing he's not being entirely realistic at this moment. "He's in town for a bit before his next trip. Could be worthwhile to even talk to him and get in his court. It's less intimidating than talking to Randy or Wendigo, or even Tiberius directly. Making friends would essentially put us in a family circle too, if getting information wasn't convincing enough." He'll pull up a picture on his phone of Prince Eric at the beach, topless, and share it on the tablet Jasmine has. "He's a looker too. Who know's. You may have found your match, Princess." a seductive purr than ringing from his throat as he brings his tea to his lips and ignores the bashing she probably has in store for him after that comment.

Re: An outing of sorts

Post by Jasmine Ward on Wed Oct 25, 2017 10:29 am

He was doing it again. His face betrayed him and Jasmine could see him mentally going off on some kind of tangent. What it was, she wasn't sure. It could be a number of things. The weather, the apartment, the city, someone that walked by them, the tea he was drinking...it could be anything. He needed to get back on track. But before she could snap him back to reality, Bronze did it himself, talking about what she had asked. Wear something Edwardian in nature? Was he for real? Well...this was Bronze. It was either correct or it wasn't. There wasn't a grey line with him. Strangely. Either he was off the walls fucking with you or was telling you what you need to know with all seriousness.

However, the next phrase to come out of his mouth was just over kill. Now, it really wasn't his fault. On any normal occasion, something like this would be okay. Well, no it wouldn't be but it more than likely would not have angered her as much. Maybe it was the innocent look in Erik's eyes or maybe it felt just too personal...but whatever it was, it struck a cord. She knew Bronze was joking. She knew that deep down. But that didn't stop her from gripping her coffee cup so tight that it burst, spilling coffee on her. Quickly, she stood up and began grabbing napkins. But Bronze continued, saying this Erik was in town. Okay, that was an easier pill to sallow. Strangely.

Once all the coffee was cleaned up, Jasmine glanced at Bronze, who had to make that damn princess comment. It wasn't bad enough was it? he had to throw fuel to the fire. Prince Erik? On a beach? It just...Her shoulders shook as she stood there, mopping up the spilled coffee. If she didn't already break her half a cup of coffee, it would have been ruined now. He was really testing her today, wasn't he? Snapping her head up, she glared at him. He was about to get a schooling on the damn princesses. "First of all, Jasmine is not the one who comes out of the ocean to be with Eric. It's the fucking little mermaid named Ariel. And Eric was a dipshit who couldn't even tell the face of the woman who saved him unless she sang. Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe there was an accident that made her not be able to speak? I mean it was a raging storm. Second of all, Jasmine marries a-"

She stopped herself right there in mid speech. What she was about to say needed to stay silent. It would only ruin her. At the moment, Siresh claimed to be a Middle eastern man who stole for a living. What was worse, he was also a tiger animalian. It was fuel he was feeding to her fire. He was trying to get a rise out of her by calling her Princess, like he normally did. And here she was, just handing him what he needed. Oh how she hated him. She hated him with all her being. She needed to save face somehow. In the end, she just threw the wet coffee soaked napkins at him and sat down again with a huff.

Picking up the tablet again, Jasmine looked at the kid. If he was here in town for a bit, then Bronze was right. It would be much easier to become his friend than to try and sneak around and find information without his help. It would be easy. His father was a Valentine, his mother a Rossi, and his father's current wife was a vampire. What more could you ask for? How many connections could he give? The possibilities were endless with a guy who traveled around for a living. "Okay. Where does this Prince Erik live?" Wow that put a pretty bad taste in her mouth. If only she haden't ruined her coffee. "Or for that matter, where are his favorite spots? What do you have on him?" She needed to focus and move the conversation away from what it was and to the new target. Becoming friends with Erik was going to happen. But she needed information on him before she could engage. And that was Bronze's job.

She broke and spilled her coffee with emotion before he even got to the good part. It seemed Jasmine didn't like whatever it was he said prior to his favorite princess notion regarding her. An interesting quirk he noted for right now and sent to the back of his mind as she began reacting, going into Disney princess talk now like he knew it would bother her. And she really thought he didn't know his Disney movies? That was a laugh. Of course he did. He knew them enough to know what to say to get exactly this reaction from her. He provoked a gold mine of aggression with just a mere vague reference. Amazing. What a remarkable find. And yes, this was all a part of his mental chess game that he played with everyone he met. He loved to feel people out and press buttons this way.

The biggest grin was painted across Bronze's face. He simply could not help himself at this moment as she told him exactly what part Princess Jasmine played. She stopped before she spilled the detail that would be his utmost favorite out of this. He could see a form of realization beneath that seething look of his partner's. "Marries a hmm? A tall, dark, and mysterious liar and thief of handsome Arabian heritage. Wow. That sounds like someone we all know and love." His grin will soften then and he'll lean his head on his hand as his elbow rests against the table, looking oh so condescending right now. Bronze cornered her right where he wanted her in his little mind game of the day and was quite content at the moment.

Why not take his win and flaunt it now? "Wasn't her best friend a tiger too no less? I think you know what you like subconsciously based off of your Disney namesake." He'll wink to her then. "I'm the best of both worlds, Jas. I even gained fame through a fake name. All I need now is a Genie, a monkey, and a magic carpet ride and we'll be set for a Whole New World." He was really laying it on thick now. The cyber terrorist already crossed her line...it was time to see how far he could run passed it now.

But there was a time to get back to work. "He lives between his siblings homes from what I can tell." He'll answer her straight, suddenly wiping the shit eating grin off his face. "He likes to hang out with all the children that his father sired. They all seem to like one another quite a bit." He'll shrug. He shouldn't start spitting out all these Valentine names and addresses in public. There was a time and a place for everything, after all. "I don't know if you're busy. But I'm going back home for now. You helped me out a lot with thinking of things to research regarding this issue. We can talk about those details another time, ja?" he'd mimic her fine Scandinavian 'Yah?' at the end. Not really to mock her, but somewhat to level with her. Like a feeling of despiting all the horrible shit he tossed up at her, they're still cool? Ja? Ja.

Re: An outing of sorts

Jasmine was doing her best to stay calm. Oh how she was trying. She had closed her eyes and tried to ride it out. Oh how she did her best. But Bronze knew how to push her. He loved making her angry. Why did he like doing that? What was he such a fucking asshole. She held her tongue as long as she could. But the last straw was how he was going to just walk away. Oh the hell he was not. Something had snapped. Snapped how? Who knows. Jas knew if she let him know he won, she would never hear the end of it. Never. But he was not leaving. Oh no he wasn't. The right corner of her mouth began to creep up into a smirk. Only way to beat Bronze was to play Bronze at his own game. Here's to hoping it was going to work. "Ja. Oh no. I'm sorry I must have heard you wrong. Min engelsk er ikke bra."

She stood up and picked up his tablet. He needed it back, ja? Ja. She walked up to him and handed back his tablet ever so kindly. "You know, I'm really glad I have you watching my back, Siresh. With you more or less hand delivering this info for me, we're going to be big names here." Jasmine stood next to him and placed an arm over his shoulder. She was sure he was going to tense, but she didn't care. She wasn't going to hit him like that. That would be rude. Now with one arm around his shoulder, her other hand moved from one side to the other as she spoke. "This article that we're going to be making...boy...It's going to be big. Everyone is going to know our names. We'll go down in history here in Twin City for sure." She let her hand linger there for a moment before she laughed and placed it on the chair as she moved her other arm off of him. "However..."

Her hand resting on the chair's back tightened. With all her might, Jasmine swung the chair at Siresh. Were people watching? Yep. They were. All eyes were on these two right now. Was it satisfying? Oh hell yeah it would be if this actually made landfall. Even getting a good swing at him was good enough for him. And the yelling relieved the rest of the pent up anger he had caused her. "Du knuller dumme amerikan! Du tror jeg skal bare la deg gå og skyve knappene mine uten å presse deg tilbake?! Vel, du fikk en annen ting som kommer til røvhull. Stopp. Stopp å trykke på knappene mine!" Instead of swinging at him again, Jasmine threw the chair down in her rage as she continued speaking in her native tongue...just saying how much of an idiot he was. But really it did not matter. She had made a scene. It helped get her anger out but also worked into getting Siresh to continue to walk and talk with her.

Straightening herself up and becoming as calm as possible, something  Siresh was known for doing. Just fly off the handlebars and then walk away like nothing ever happened. Maybe she should have done this more often. Ignoring the people around her and their horrid looks, she motioned for him to start walking with her. "Come on. I'm sure someone is going to be calling the cops for this. Better lay low and make tracks around town. Maybe you can show me where Tiber's children live. You know, for the article." She flashed him a smile and grabbed him b the arm to start dragging him down the street. If she let him come on his own accord, he would just turn tail and walk the other way. Maybe even let the cops come after her. No. That was not how this was going to work. She was going to use Siresh and he was going to like it.

"So. Who's house are we going to go egg first?" If what she could remember, Trever had like twenty kids. Erik could be at any of them. Many were married with kids, so she could more than likely rule them out. But for now, she waited. She waited until he either started talking or he fled. One of the two.

Re: An outing of sorts

For someone who was always prepared for the unexpected, he sure wasn't prepared for the actions that would be taken upon him. He knew he was a well over crossing the line with her but he didn't think in his wildest and kinky dreams that Jasmine Ward would be beating the shit out of him with a chair in public right now. Bronze was both amazed and horrified. She was derailed completely from the task and for the first time in their partnership he saw her display an emotion other than '300% done with your shit, Bronze.' Truly, it was like the male witnessed a breakthrough in science.

What made this even better, you ask? Her ability to turn her back on the situation and act like it never happened. A quality he possessed and used quite often after similar rants and outbursts. Creating a fraction of a doubt in the other person's mind that all of that never happened and fill them with delusions. Bronze figured she could of learned a lot from him as well. Even after the beat down he couldn't help himself from grinning wildly. He almost didn't want this moment to end, in a strange way.

But she was right about one thing, people were staring and the cops were in bound now. "Yeah, time to go." Was all he would say as he turned his back to her and began walking elsewhere. He could hear the sirens now and they were fast approaching. He'd walk calmly for a moment,
at least get a block away from the incident before considering some swift escape measures. "Keep up, Princess." and Bronze would suddenly veer into a narrow alley and take off. This wouldn't be a bad thing, he always liked a good game of cat and mouse. He was a professional at giving the fuzz the slip, as he had been doing it for years.

In the slender alley there was a warm up; a chain link fence, a dumpster and excess trash in the way, and then a fire escape. Flawlessly he'd leap onto the wall next to the fence which gave him access to the very top, being able to swiftly pull and vault himself over the top without having to climb. Taking to the ground running again, it was a short ways to the garbage, which he'd traverse with ease. He hopped up onto the top of the dumpster and jumped from it, grabbing hold on the back of the fire escape ladder that was a short distance away. The ladder would disengage and lower as his weight was added to it, but he climbed around and up the ladder regardless of its sudden motion. Then bam. Roof access. It was clear skies from here so long as he didn't fall. He'd climb to the top of the building and take a knee to be able to scope out his surroundings and plan his direction. As well as wait for his partner who was likely swimming in applesauce from the garbage right about now.
