Jasmine just sipped her water glass and leaned back in her seat. "I'd rather have my wits about me going into a new environment then having something in my system that might just cause me to become impaired." The young half angel's gaze shifted along the bar scene. Not many people seemed to be here. Most seemed rather at home in this otherwise forgotten hole in the middle of nowhere. Though there seemed to be a few people whom stood out. One most of all was a young man who could not be more than twenty one in age himself. His eyes struck her as off. They glinted a strange yellow glow. Like something akin to a wolf. Maybe, just maybe, this was something that actually went to a so called 'portal' to a new world.
Not that she doubted Bronze, but she didn't exactly believe him. A whole city where supernaturals went and lived in peace and harmony? Very highly unlikely. Humans couldn't even accept the fact that they shared a world with one another. Hell. They couldn't even accept the fact that there were supernaturals running around. Though, maybe she shouldn't doubt him so easily. After all, both of them were such creatures. Maybe there was some kind of credibility to this.
Taking another sip, she finally looked at her new partner in crime. Now that they were here, drinking their respective drinks, it accrued to her that he had had something different. Every time they did in fact go and have a drink, he had a long island. But this? Well...she hardly knew the guy. Something like this was maybe normal for him? It was small signs like these that could have easily cued her in in the future. What kinds of drinks he got when out drinking told a lot about you. You stray from the normal, something is up. But, as bad as it sounded, Jasmine didn't really think that they were going to be around together for as long as a time as she thought. It's been a good while here and now in Norway. But how long would it last? She had gotten a lot of work done with his help. She could not deny that. But, as someone who had a very long history of this, good things don't last forever. Sooner or later things were going to go bad and this partnership was going to end. Better not get too attached in the the long run.
But still. She wanted to know. "Do you normally order that? Not that we've really been drinking a lot together...but I feel as if you enjoy other things before something as hard as that."
The angel sipped her water once again and waited for a response only to have someone walk into the bar. A tall man with dark red hair and darker eyes. It was almost as if the room itself got darker. Something about him Jasmine didn't like. But she figured this was the guy. Finishing her water, she spoke and got up. "That's him, let's go." Moving forward, the half angel looked at this man with a frown. "We're looking for Camino. Are you him?"
The man, upon further inspection, was a towering being. Reaching well over a foot taller than Jasmine. Upon hearing his name, a toothy smile was flashed before her. "Depends, what are you looking for?"
Because that wasn't strange. Putting that aside, Jasmine spoke in a more hushed tone. "We're seeking passage to a city. Twin City. We have been told that you are the man who can take up on over."
Camino laughed, a full bellow that caused his head to be thrown back. "Oh lass....that's all you had to say. Come. This way."
Jasmine was a bit...disturbed. On many different levels. Mainly the fact that he knew she was a woman. But, better to deal with that at a latter time than to deal with it now. Time was growing late on this end. Walking behind the tall man, the two were taken to the back and down into a wine cellar. The young man who Jasmine had spotted earlier had followed behind them, closing the doors. This all just didn't seem right. Reaching for her gun that was hidden away, Jasmine was ready for anything and everything. Maybe this was a trap. Likely it was. Her light blue eyes narrowed as this Camino man dragged them all the way to the back.
It was funny. It had a sticker up there that said 9 3/4. Interesting.
"Here we are. The portal. You have to walk through this wall. You don't have to actually get a running start...but just like in that very funny human movie, you simply walk on through. This portal is a bit more picky than a lot of others. We've tweaked it you see. If you aren't of the supernatural kind, it won't allow you into our fair city. And...why I brought my wing man down to take care of any...uh...problems." Camino smiled again, showing off his very sharp teeth. It was at that point Jasmine understood the situation. "Understood. Then we have no issues here."
Looking to Bronze, she nodded. Without another word, the half angel girl walked through the portal and into the city known as Twin City.
