Dimitri Reyes. He was a man that was untouchable. Her lead through the military base had gone cold even with the help of Bronze. It was her only lead to Daniel, and she let it slip past her. It angered her. No, it was more than that: It made her desperate. Bronze said they would find something soon, but it had been a week since they found out that Dimitri Reyes turned out to be a vampire. It was funny almost. The moment they had found this information, he vanished. As if he knew that someone was looking into him. However, there was no trace of him. Not anywhere. She had watched Bronze search day in day out for any recent hit. Nothing. He completely vanished.

Jasmine had been antsy. She paced back and forth in that motel room as her fear and anger started to reach a boiling point. Just when she was ready to lose it all, Bronze came through with a bit of interesting information: There was a magical city called Twin City that let in supernaturals. Most likely, Reyes had entered into that city.

When she had first heard of this, the angel woman stood there frozen. Her light blue eyes processed the information before her. If Reyes had gone to this magical city filled with supernaturals, then he could harbor Daniel there. He could hide Daniel there for as long as he wanted. This was likely why he never showed up out here. This was the lead she was waiting for. Once she regained her ability to speak, she demanded to know as much as she could from her new partner. Nonchalantly, he shrugged and said there was this powwow going on outside of town. A group of supernaturals were being escorted through a magical portal that would allow them to access the city, or allow them to leave it. If they wanted to go, they should get going.

Jasmine didn't need to be told twice.

Bronze grinned and handed her a piece of paper and the two left the motel room with their few belongings. As they walked, she was told the reason for having to go all the way outside of town for this. Apparently, the city had a few of these portals all around the world. Their existence were carefully guarded. Some were located on private properties owned by powerful supernaturals, some of them were simply in the middle of a large set of woods. The one that they were going to was a large trafficked one. Meaning many different Supernaturals came and went through it. That was news to her. Then again, hearing about this city was news to her. When she asked how he found out about this, he, like always, just smiled and brushed the question off. It didn't matter. She was just grateful he found out about it. Soon they were going to be back on track to finding Daniel.

This portal was set in a rundown bar in the middle of nowhere. She suspected that the small group that came out here were either lost humans or supernaturals. Clutching the paper in her jacket pocket, the blonde half angel walked up to the bartender, pulling what she held. Showing it to him, she spoke. "We were asked to come here. We're looking for Camino."

The man looked at the two of them, leaned in close and took the paper. "He's running late. Take a moment to rest yourselves. He'll be in shortly. You'll know him when you see him. Until then, can I get you a drink?" Running late? Her upper lip twitched, but Jasmine kept her nerves down. "Just water is fine." The guy nodded and handed her what she asked and whatever Bronze if he wanted something. Once their drinks were given, she took a seat along the wall that faced the entrance.

Breaking and Entering: Twin City Empty Re: Breaking and Entering: Twin City

Jasmine was hell bent on finding Daniel. That was the mission for as long as he knew her. It was a short time of course, but even the tiger could see that this young woman had a time constraint or at the very least, an urgency. Of course, this problem of hers created it's own urgency. The two of them were in danger and they had to leave. What he told her was that he had a sheer stroke of luck before he lost his leaks, but they had to move quickly to a place called Twin City, a sanctuary for the supernatural. He didn't know anything about Dimitri or Daniel or anyone right now. He just knew that they were in danger and they had to leave. The sooner the better. Luckily, from the little lie he told her, she was already packed and ready to go that night if needed. They began to leave but he got them to the safety of a motel for the night before making their true departure. When they got to Twin City they'd have to start all over again, not just with their lives but even with their work. Even the keyboard warrior's equipment had to be built from the ground up since it was left virtually useless from the counter hacks embedded into his gear from digging too deep.

Once he got to Twin City, it would be it. He had no means of contact with the world they knew. World news didn't come into Twin City, and likewise news of the city never got out. It was a perfect place to hide from danger, but it also meant that the world was hidden from them for now. Until Siresh could figure something out, there would be no finding Dimitri or Daniel. All because he got cocky right when he was about to land the jackpot of intel. Bronze could have seen it all if only it just worked. But instead, he was attacked back, their location forfeit, as well as all the information he did dig on Dimitri up until that moment. A threat was released to him, this infamous Dimitri Reyes himself had a gun straight to the head of what could very well have been Jasmine's lost twin, Daniel. "You snoop into my things again, Siresh Katarina Brozus..." Then the evil man pulled the trigger and the fair young angel fell limp from the chair. "And I'll give her a pretty hole to match his. For now, you better run and pray to all your gods that we don't ever meet. You have 3 days." And then the video cut out and a map displayed. One was his location, seemingly in Romania, and another was their location, in Norway. Dots populated in Romania that were quickly approaching with a precise gps track of the route, likely bogies in bound or otherwise something he didn't want to risk running into or waiting until they were here.

Which was when he made up the whole elaborate story to his partner, that Dimitri was a vampire in Twin City, that Daniel...was safe and sound in the city too. He felt horrible for some reason, to lie to her that way when her brother that she desperately searched for was shot dead right before his eyes. He didn't want to have to plead to her to leave, but she ate his lie right up. Fell for every word. He lied to her. But it was to keep them both safe so should he really feel so guilty? He had every intention of telling her. They just had to get settled in the city first. Yeah. That's what he'd do. It wasn't a lie if you told the truth in the end.

They left the motel with their few belongings and set off for new horizons. The journey put them in a shabby old bar, looking for some guy named Camino. Siresh approached the bar with his partner but simply leaned over it, wearing sunglasses and looking more so like a watchful bodyguard than a compatriot. At the offer of something to drink he merely grunted, "Bourbon." That was a man's drink right? One that a guy on duty could drink and still look tough doing it. Siresh remained on the lookout even as the drink was placed down before him and he muttered briefly in thanks. "Water? You're boring." Siresh could poke a bit of fun, finally taking down his shades and giving her eyes and the grin we've all been waiting for. He couldn't look at her for long though so he just pulled his sunglasses back up and averted his gaze to return to looking tough. He took a swig of the whiskey he asked for and made a slightly bothersome refreshed sound as he brought it away from his lips.

Breaking and Entering: Twin City Empty Re: Breaking and Entering: Twin City

Jasmine just sipped her water glass and leaned back in her seat. "I'd rather have my wits about me going into a new environment then having something in my system that might just cause me to become impaired." The young half angel's gaze shifted along the bar scene. Not many people seemed to be here. Most seemed rather at home in this otherwise forgotten hole in the middle of nowhere. Though there seemed to be a few people whom stood out. One most of all was a young man who could not be more than twenty one in age himself. His eyes struck her as off. They glinted a strange yellow glow. Like something akin to a wolf. Maybe, just maybe, this was something that actually went to a so called 'portal' to a new world.

Not that she doubted Bronze, but she didn't exactly believe him. A whole city where supernaturals went and lived in peace and harmony? Very highly unlikely. Humans couldn't even accept the fact that they shared a world with one another. Hell. They couldn't even accept the fact that there were supernaturals running around. Though, maybe she shouldn't doubt him so easily. After all, both of them were such creatures. Maybe there was some kind of credibility to this.

Taking another sip, she finally looked at her new partner in crime. Now that they were here, drinking their respective drinks, it accrued to her that he had had something different. Every time they did in fact go and have a drink, he had a long island. But this? Well...she hardly knew the guy. Something like this was maybe normal for him? It was small signs like these that could have easily cued her in in the future. What kinds of drinks he got when out drinking told a lot about you. You stray from the normal, something is up. But, as bad as it sounded, Jasmine didn't really think that they were going to be around together for as long as a time as she thought. It's been a good while here and now in Norway. But how long would it last? She had gotten a lot of work done with his help. She could not deny that. But, as someone who had a very long history of this, good things don't last forever. Sooner or later things were going to go bad and this partnership was going to end. Better not get too attached in the the long run.

But still. She wanted to know. "Do you normally order that? Not that we've really been drinking a lot together...but I feel as if you enjoy other things before something as hard as that."

The angel sipped her water once again and waited for a response only to have someone walk into the bar. A tall man with dark red hair and darker eyes. It was almost as if the room itself got darker. Something about him Jasmine didn't like. But she figured this was the guy. Finishing her water, she spoke and got up. "That's him, let's go." Moving forward, the half angel looked at this man with a frown. "We're looking for Camino. Are you him?"

The man, upon further inspection, was a towering being. Reaching well over a foot taller than Jasmine. Upon hearing his name, a toothy smile was flashed before her. "Depends, what are you looking for?"

Because that wasn't strange. Putting that aside, Jasmine spoke in a more hushed tone. "We're seeking passage to a city. Twin City. We have been told that you are the man who can take up on over."

Camino laughed, a full bellow that caused his head to be thrown back. "Oh lass....that's all you had to say. Come. This way."

Jasmine was a bit...disturbed. On many different levels. Mainly the fact that he knew she was a woman. But, better to deal with that at a latter time than to deal with it now. Time was growing late on this end. Walking behind the tall man, the two were taken to the back and down into a wine cellar. The young man who Jasmine had spotted earlier had followed behind them, closing the doors. This all just didn't seem right. Reaching for her gun that was hidden away, Jasmine was ready for anything and everything. Maybe this was a trap. Likely it was. Her light blue eyes narrowed as this Camino man dragged them all the way to the back.

It was funny. It had a sticker up there that said 9 3/4. Interesting.

"Here we are. The portal. You have to walk through this wall. You don't have to actually get a running start...but just like in that very funny human movie, you simply walk on through. This portal is a bit more picky than a lot of others. We've tweaked it you see. If you aren't of the supernatural kind, it won't allow you into our fair city. And...why I brought my wing man down to take care of any...uh...problems." Camino smiled again, showing off his very sharp teeth. It was at that point Jasmine understood the situation. "Understood. Then we have no issues here."

Looking to Bronze, she nodded. Without another word, the half angel girl walked through the portal and into the city known as Twin City.
