It was cute, in a way. How this man named Siresh went about his day. Not that he was cute. Not at all. She was still rather peeved at him from before. But she was not going to let that show. Anyways, Siresh had gone and done a rather impressive set of stunts. Up the link chain, down onto the trashcan, up the ladder and onto the roof. He was clearly showing off. Not just that, but he wanted to see if she had his same slick skills. Well, he was right. She didn't have his slick skills. She wasn't the type of person to run up a fence and attempt to climb a ladder that was higher off the ground that she could not reach without jumping. Well, not if she could help it.

What most people fail to realize, even Siresh, was Jasmine was half Angel. What does that mean? She had wings. So all this jumping around and wasting energy like that was not needed for her. No one was going to be looking for an angel at the moment. S, spreading her wings, Jasmine took flight. With ease, she landed upon the roof top and smirked to Siresh. "You look a bit winded. You sure you can go about the next part? I can assist you."

It was just salt to the wound. But, regardless, they still needed to get going. Cops were not good for these two robbers. Someone would eventually figure out that there were pealing standing on roof tops and come after them themselves. But, Jasmine was going to play nice. If he wanted to show off, she'd let him show off. Folding her wings onto her back, they vanished into thin air, as if they were not there in the first place. Looking forward, Jasmine got a running start and leapt from the ledge of the building aiming for the other. However, jumping was something this white girl was never good at on her own. And even now, she knew she was not going to make it. Well. At least not without falling on the other ledge. So she aimed for that.

Her arms went out and her legs braced for impact. Upon hitting the ledge, her upper half held onto the building as her lower half did it's best to find something to steady herself on. The wind had been knocked out of her for a moment, but she was not going to let that stop her or show Siresh weakness. Normally when she made attempts like these, she had her wings to fall back on. Without them, she felt almost useless. Almost. Her feet scraped against the wall, finding nothing to hold onto. So it meant her upper body was going to have to do all the work. Planting her feet against the wall of the building, she held on with her arms. Once she knew she wasn't about to fall, Jasmine started to bring one leg up and over. It were times like these she was so glad she was so flexible.

Once she finally got up and over, she dusted herself off and looked at Siresh who more than likely was already over there. He was going to say something smart, she was sure, but she was going to ignore him this time. For sure. "Okay. So to narrow down the search for Erik, what do all the children do for a living? If you know that much."

Siresh would stand as he felt her presence and then look to her. Of course. She used wings to get all the way up here. Of course she did. "Skitten jukser." He'd huff in her native tongue. He'd walk across the roof now so that he can get some distance from his next leap. Bronze turned and took off promptly after, making his leap at the same time she did. Unlike her, he stuck his landing. He'd turn then to make sure she got up ok, even squatted down before here so that she could help her up. Even if Jasmine wouldn't accept help, there he was. Still able to watch her struggle. "You look a bit winded. You sure you can go about the next part? I can assist you." Oh how that mock probably stung.

Bronze would stand then and turn his back to her to let her recover as needed without his judging gaze. She'd ask him a question and he'd just roll his eyes. "Just focus on keeping up, alright?" He couldn't get into it right now if he'd be running. He'd let that be a warning to her as he took off. He was in it for the long haul now so she could do what she had to from here on out. They had to get moving. Besides hacking, this is what Siresh was close to unmatched at; free running across urban landscapes. When he discovered a love for running, it only made sense to incorporate a little twists and challenges into an everyday run. He found running sort of boring after awhile without it. Who knew it would come in such use over the years as well!

As he leaped from roof to roof, vaulted over obstacles, and rolled into his landings, he felt so free. It was no effort at all to him and it was the only time Bronze had where he could forget to think. It sounded dangerous, but in the same token Bronze's ability to think was what typically endangered him the most to begin with. Handing the reigns over to fluid motions and testing fate was an exhilarating experience. His keen instincts were a set of keen senses that were ignored for the sake of logical thought. Here, he could fly free as a bird and ignore his own internal dialogue.

But the ride was coming to an end and he was about at his destination now. Bronze lowered himself from the safety of the rooftops and grounded himself back to the city streets. He checked the dark alley he chose for any trouble and then would walk out to the edge where the light of day was shining. He observed then, the home of TCPD Lieutenants JT and Chandler Valentine. No cars in the driveway but the on duty police cruiser that they were now both getting into and zooming off with, lights on and everything. "They're answering the call to the public display of affection you pulled. Now their home is essentially empty. Nice distraction." Bronze would praise her for beating him near senseless with a chair. What an odd man. "If Erik isn't here, there could be clues as to where he is inside." Bronze would observe the house for a moment then, and pull out his phone so that he could disarm the security system he noticed. "You should be able to get in no problem. You know what to do."

Her face flared red for a moment, but she saw it coming. Not to worry, Jasmine was going to get through this. All she had to do was keep up keeping up and she would make it through. And so, the two continued without much more to say. Siresh was running and jumping like he had a pair of wings himself. It was interesting to say the least. Who knew a man such as him would not only excel at this, but feel free at it. Well, she wasn't going to pop his bubble, that was for sure. The sensation of flying is honestly the best feeling in the world. Something she has access to but never got to partake in as much as say someone from this city would have been able to. A shame.

She trailed behind him, coming to a stop next to the Animalian when he stopped. They were looking down at a house, a rather large house at that. Two people, a blonde woman and a brunette man, came out of their house and walked to their on duty car. Siresh made a comment, which in turn caused Jasmine to shoot him a glare. "It wsn't a sign of affection. It shows you how much I honestly hate you." While that statement wasn't completely true, she did in fact dislike him a whole hell of a lot. Just not enough to part ways with him.

They continued up to the house. As Siresh said, they were now out of the house. Meaning that whatever little secrets they were hiding was going to be found out in no time. Once she opened the door that was. Rolling her eyes, Jasmine pulled out her lock picking tools and got to work. If she got down on one knee, it would look a bit suspicious. Thankfully, she became very good at unlocking doors while standing up. If anyone was looking, they could assume that they had a key. After all, doing this in broad daylight was rather uncommon. Was it riskier? Yeah. The people who owned the home could still be up or they had a guest over that you didn't account for and is now staring at you. However, if done correctly, no neighbor would ever bat an eyelash and think that this was a break in. It was like hiding in plain sight. Just breaking in in plain sight.

In a few short seconds, Jasmine had the door open and the two were walking into a gorgeous entryway. It took all her will not to whistle and marvel at it. What a place. If these people ever hosted a party, they would be the envy of any block. Hell, Jasmine was envious right now. However, as she entered the living area and all it's glory, Jasmine could not contain herself any longer. She opened her mouth and spoke. "Vakker...." Her hand was inches away from touching an item when she realized exactly where she was. The two cops who lived here weren't stupid. They were pretty good at their job. And if the two of them started touching things willy nilly, they could easily get tracked down. "Don't touch anything."

Pulling out her gloves, Jasmine did her best to remove as much evidence from this place as she could. Turning to Siresh, she motioned that they should sweep the downstairs before going up to the bedrooms. Heading into the kitchen, which again, was gorgeous, there was not any sign that anyone other than two married people in the middle of lunch were here. A shame that they couldn't finish it. Jasmine moved on to the den that was here but found nothing. It seemed as if no one was down here. So time for the upstairs. "Alright, up we go, ja?"

"It wasn't a sign of affection. It shows you how much I honestly hate you."

That made Bronze laugh a little too much. "Hate is a strong word, Jasmine. Goodness. Don't flatter me like that, you'll make a dark man blush." He'd the flick a pretend tear from his eye, as if he was laughing enough to warrant real tears. He could just feel that one's eyes on him now as he walked into the house she so kindly opened the door to for him. As if he hadn't said enough today to piss her off, Bronze would turn his head to her and utter, "Such a gentleman." in regards to her opening the door for him. He just didn't know when to quit. Though, it was probably a compliment to her anyway and likely wouldn't even bother her.

The JT and Chandler Valentine household was indeed very large. Must of been nice being two working married folks that made enough to support this kind of living. His mother could only afford to keep maybe half this house over herself and her five sons' heads. Totally wasn't bitter about it. He really wasn't, but that was until he saw the most perfect family portrait anybody had ever seen. Jasmine had just said not to touch anything but it fell on deaf ears that didn't even pay attention to her. Bronze wasn't dense, he probably had no intention to touch anything until he laid eyes on this family photo. Even she could see that it was picked up with his fake hand, so no harm done but it was a little concerning none the less. He had no response to her.

A mom, a dad, three smiling kids. All of them looked so happy he wanted to throw up. His family- his mother faced so much hardship in her time and yet her smile in photos like this would be bright and beyond comparable to even the sun itself. She always put on such a good show for her boys as they grew up. And now Darlene Brozus was all alone in the house, believing her husband and three sons are dead. Sure. One was dead. But who knew about the rest? Siresh knew he himself was alive, despite the governments lies. His poor sweet mother.

Bronze would put the photo down. He was lost in his own world in those moments but he was back with enough time to hear Jasmine ask if they were going up. "Yeah." Was all he could say as he'd go up first. All of JT and Chandler's kids were grown up at this point but that didn't stop one of them from coming through to visit every so often either. If anyone was up here, they'd have to go through Siresh first before getting to Jasmine.

Re: An outing of sorts (Closed)

Post by Jasmine Ward on Wed Jan 17, 2018 8:20 am

In her many months working with Siresh and his counter self Bronze, there came a grey area. With anything work related, everything was more or less on the table. She didn't bother hiding much from him as he would eventually figure it out anyway. Annoying? Extremely. But, it was something she came to depend on. Bronze needed to be that two steps ahead of her at all times in order for her to actually do her job right. He angered her, frustrated her, and yet, though she was loathed to admit it, he was exactly what she needed. The partnership could have been better, you know if he actually stopped insisting on a few things like sharing a bed or being off the wall crazy. Yet, at times like this one, their relationship had hit a snag. They both respected the 'dont ask about my past' rule which allowed them both to deal with their separate issues with privacy. But it was at this moment that the canyon between them was wider than she expected.

As she turned around to look at Bronze before heading up the stairs, he had, after she had just said not to, picked up a picture and touched it. Her first reaction was to start yelling at him, as if she hadn't been doing enough of that today. But as she opened her mouth, the words left her. The look upon this man was enough to pierce even her icy heart. A family picture. A family of five living and laughing beyond the confides of the photo itself. It was something she herself didn't look twice at. A loving father and mother raising three children without issue? No yelling? No fighting? No drunken fights that ended with bloodshed? The concept was as foregin as she was. But at this moment, it wasn't about her and her parent issues. It was about Siresh and how his face betrayed him in this moment. A sharp pain took a jab at her heart and twisted it as the blonde stood there at the stairs and waited for him to finish his moment. She had no words for him, though she did wish she had some. Whatever that expression was on his face, she wanted to comfort him.

Actually, that thought alone made her sick.

The feeling had caught her so off guard, Jasmine thought she was going to puke. Turning away from this moment, this tender and sweet moment, the Norwegian stared up the stairs and started walking. "Come on. We're wasting time."

Heading up the stairs, Jasmine pulled out her gun. It was just a way to show that she was in charge. Was she planning on using it? Not at all. But none times out of ten, if someone is pointing a gun at you, you tend to shut up and listen. Turning back to Siresh, she made a quick motion that she was going to check in the first room. With a free hand, Jasmine turned the knob ever so gently before swinging it open and pointing the gun where she looked. Nothing. The room was nothing more than a spare bedroom. Okay, nothing crazy about this place. At least not yet.

No harm done. The detour was swift and seamless, she hardly even noticed. At least he pretended not to notice that she did in fact take heed of his momentary pause. He could feel that it was a tense and painful stop for both of them, and he actually couldn't bear it. It was brash and seemingly harmless actions like that that could consume an entire team. With them thinking about their respective childhoods, their minds were not in peak performing condition. Thankfully, this job wasn't all too overbearing. This would be done in no time and they could walk out and clear their heads.

Siresh didn't say anything as he went one way at the top of the stairs and he went another. Instead of her breach and clear strategy, he had a more tactful and less invasive way of doing business. The infamous cyber terrorist Bronze had a quite a few tricks up his sleeve. That was including a number of field capabilities, not ones from a comfy chair in his bedroom. Reaching into his backpack, he swiftly pulled out a borescope camera and unraveled the cable lens from the small handle display. With it, he placed the cable under the doors in his area and swept the camera across the landscape so that he can view the inside of the room from behind the shut door. Nothing there. He checked a few surrounding doors and identified the rooms before deciding which to walk into.

He settled on all of them besides the master bedroom at first. Only the king and queen of the household would be frequenting it so there likely wouldn't be a boatload of intel to gather unless he got a hold of notes or a personal computer. Even then, he saved that for last so that he could use the utmost care and make sure that nothing seemed out of place for when the couple returned. The rooms he fumbled through lightly were all the unused, or lightly used, bedrooms of their adult children. Nothing was lying around that seemed all too telling of who had been here to visit in recent time. Siresh simply shook his head to himself and walked out of the last room, shutting the door behind him. He looked over to the master bedroom and sighed to himself and then looked to Jasmine as she was exiting her breached room with nothing worth telling about.

Something snapped in that moment as he made eye contact with her. "Jasmine, I think we're better off leaving. Now." It was an urgent call, as if he was privy to a silent intruder or a kink in their plans. Before she could get defensive or panicked, he clarified himself. "There's nothing here, we lost our man. We should reevaluate our situation and take action in another way." There was more important things to do anyway. And frankly, he wasn't feeling this anymore. "We should go over to the peer side of town, find the sketchiest bar, and have the time of our lives." That proposal was probably as appealing as a rotten tomato, but then he made the proposal work orientated rather than recreational. "All the good information gets tossed around there. Maybe we can find a better lead. Maybe one on that rifle or that little bitch that made off with it." And all this bullshit just to ask one damn woman on a date. Well, not a date really as much as just a social opportunity. Dates were overrated and impersonal. Bars were too but it was probably the only excuse he could find to get her to focus on something other than work.

"I don't expect an answer right now. I'll see you at home, Princess."
With that, Siresh Brozus gave her a half assed salute as he backflipped himself out an open hallway window. Using the momentum of the impact to the ground, he literally hit the ground running away from the entire situation.

And that was the end of that. It seemed Siresh had had enough. For what reason, she did not know. His interest in this had gone out the window. Or rather...he had gone out the window. Thinking he was some kind of badass or whatever. Letting out a sigh, Jasmine followed suit. Stepping out, she stepped out and hovered there. Closing the windows ever so carefully in order to replica what it was before he jumped out. The next corse of action was trying to figure out if he really wanted to go to a bar or not. Likely not. But, after this afternoon, Jasmine thought it might be a good idea, at least for her, to order a Rum and Coke. Between the failed mission and the failure of even looking for Erik, she could count all the money they were losing. It honestly pained her. Yeah, that was worth the rum and coke. With or without Siresh, that was where she was going to be spending the night.

End.
