Racial Compendium: [The Pegasi]

Race: Pegasi

Origin: A race that has been around since dinosaurs roamed the earth. They are an evolutionary branch of the original Pegasus, that with time, became their own unique race. Written into lore, stories and history books throughout time. The pegasi are what people referred to as unicorns. Mysterious equine beings with mysterious magics. Nobody quite knows who first drew them with horns, but they do not posess them. They are creatures who are not often seen and their ways have always been secretive. It is said they were born of the earths very energy, most of them are very in tune with nature.

Today's life: It is hard to say what the life of a pegasi is like these days. Not many know of them. Not many have ever seen them and even those who have, don't know what they're looking at. They are a secretive race who keeps their origin relatively under wraps unless they truth someone. They across much of the world and have integrated alongside human society to the point where they typically blend in, even with the use of their abilities. Most think they are just meta-humans. There is often argument over whether the race genuinely exists. But those who know of them, know they are a protective race working for the betterment of the world. There has only ever been one inherently evil creature born of their race. Within Twin City, there is not much of a community of them to date.

Defining Features: Their most defining features are their inherent abilities and shapeshifting capabilities. They can have abilities ranging from basic things like throwing a bolt of lightning, to more complicated and unique skills like healing. It is all based on their equine form and what they're born with. Each pegasi is born with a unique pair of wings, colored and tipped with their inherent element. Like races within humans except their element grants them particular abilities. Their equine forms often share traits with their human forms such as hair color/eye color/personality. They also possess the ability to communicate telepathically in their equine forms.

Natural Ability/Capabilities:

Inherent Abilities/Traits (All possess)

- Minor Enhanced Hearing
- Minor Enhanced Sense of Smell (Most can identify people based on just their scent alone.)
- Shapeshifting (To their equine form.)
- Love for Nature
- Telepathy (While in Equine Form)
- Flight (Equine form only, via wings.)
- Heavy reliance on their element to survive. (Fireborne need to be constantly warm, Too cold and they will get sick/die quickly. Iceborn need constant cold and if they grow too warm they will get sick/die. Etc. etc.)

Lightborne

- Light Manipulation (Physical ability. Focuses on barrier and light-based creations.)
- Multi-colored eyes (Prism-like eyes with multiple colors. They can also have normal eyes. Heterochromia runs heavily in this variation.)
- Immunity to very bright lights.
- Relies on Sunlight/UV light to stay at full strength.
- Can emit a soft glow even in the darkest of places, but significantly weaker in such situations.
- Rainbow/crystallized wing-edging.

Frostborne

- Ice Manipulation (Cryokinesis.)
- Cold-hued eyes (Blue, Ice blue, etc. etc.)
- Relies heavily on low temperatures. (Fire magic is very much their bane!)
- Have an affinity for winter/cold months.
- Immunity to Extreme Cold.
- Ice/Crystallized wing-edging.

Flameborne

- Fire Manipulation (Pyrokinesis)
- Fire-hued eyes (Red, Yellow, Orange etc. etc.)
- Relies heavily on hot temperatures (Ice magic is their bane.)
- Loves the Summer/Spring
- Immunity to Extreme Heat
- Flaming wing-edging (Color may vary based on parentage.)

Stormborne

- Lightning/Electrical Manipulation (Electrokinesis)
- Bright colored eyes with slightly jagged eding. (Yellow, Blue etc. etc.)
- Very little reliance on element to survive.
- Immunity to Electricity (Incredibly weak to earth-based abilities)
- Loves stormy weather and can harness a storms strength.
- Lightning edged wings.
- Constantly charged with 'static' So expect plenty of accidental shocks. Has been known to short out buildings when relaxing.

NatureBorne

- Can potentially manifest Chlorokinesis (Plants, tree's etc.) or Terrakinesis (Earth based manipulation. Dirt, rock etc.)
- Nature Colored Eyes (Green, Blue, Lime Green, Pink etc. etc.)
- Contact with natural elements needed on occasional basis. The more connected to the earth they are, the stronger they are.
- Immunity to poison.
- Love everything about nature, often surrounds themselves with flowers.
- Flower wing-edging.

Tideborne

- Water Manipulation (Hydrokinesis)
- Water Colored eyes (Dark blue, Blue, Aqua, Green etc. etc.)
- Has to stay constantly hydrated (Lack of water can kill them.)
- Can Breathe Underwater/Immunity to underwater pressure at any depth.
- Love to be in the water, are often excellent swimmers.
- Water wing-eding

Remedyborne

- Healing (Vitakinesis)
- Softly colored eyes (Light Pink, Light green, etc. etc.)
- Immunity to Illness (Not immune to poison.)
- Are prone to being very health oriented (Often are nurses, doctors etc. etc.)
- Very caring
- Glowing pink wing-edging (White feathers with glowing pink edging.)
