Family Jewels [Mission] (Closed)

It wasn't exactly a hard job. Maybe it was because they were almost desperate to get some real cash that they took this job. After the last attempt to bring in the real money failed, here they were, attempting to rob a pawn shop. It felt like a low blow but a job was a job. The two had met with the customer earlier and he seemed desperate. He showed them the jewels and honestly, they were pretty nice to look at. A shame about that low life just pawning them. They were worth more than what he sold them for. Idiot. Regardless, it meant easy money. And Easy money was what she was talking about.

So here she was scoping out the inside for anything that would prove to be an easy in. So far, things were looking pretty good on her end. There was a back door, a window that was high up in the back, it was on the sketchy end of town anyways so you weren't going to be having people look at you funny if you did walk in and break into the place. This shop even had some goods that were interesting. Over priced, but interesting. Looking at the jewels in question, under the flimsy locked case, Jasmine could already tell the guy got ripped off if this asswipe was selling it for that amount of money. Too rich for her blood...Once she was done browsing, she went outside and waited for Siresh. To get his final say on the situation at hand.

Siresh loved pawn shops. They were like yard sales and thrift stores, you never knew whose used junk you were going to find. These pawned electronics here? People could format them and delete content all they liked, but to a computer genius like Bronze, there was nothing men like him couldn't see. Not to mention old and rare technology could be found that typical stores did not carry anymore. Any old pieces of history were very interesting as well. Some people didn't know the worth in what they had or what they have found so some pieces could be pretty cheap and turned for high profits. And any gems or valuables could also be nice for the right price and turned to a higher bidder, lets say. What was even better when you could get some of these items for free with the quick and easy five finger discount.

As Bronze was browsing the wares, he could feel impatient eyes on him. Ten minutes to close. The hacker was hoping the store clerk would begin some of their check out practices by now, but it wasn't time for that just yet. At least he noted the cameras in the space and knew he could get in to witness these practices even after he was kicked out. Even now, he best not dilly dally any longer and he would exit the store after observing everything he had to. He'd go to his partner's location and open up his laptop to be ready to hack into the security cameras and observe the situation. "You see the price he was asking for those? I don't think I could even sell both my balls on the black market for that much. Those family jewels better be worth this effort."

Proficient Talent: Hacking

'Proficient' :

Siresh is able to successfully hack into the surveillance camera's within the store. The clerk now begins his process to close the store. He counts the cash in the drawer, puts money in the back, locks up the different displays and cases, arranges all sales tickets, turns out the main lights to the store, arms security alarms on each of the cases and then the front door, all before leaving out for the night. You now know the store is unmanned, but armed with security that is attached to all doors inside and locked display cases.

And so they waited, with a bit of commentary from Siresh. While he was not wrong that the amount was way over the top, it did not stop her from rolling her eyes at his lewd comment. But...again he wasn't wrong. The price just was way too expensive for normal everyday prices. Maybe the man was looking to sell them on the blackmarket himself for a hefty price. Surely someone was going to buy those jewels. Or at least they were, if it wasn't for them stealing them back and giving them to their rightful owner. And to the rightful owner they were going to be given to. Siresh was not going to get away with selling them himself. Not if she could handle it.

"It's worth it," Jasmine replied finally. "Or at least gaining any kind of money will be worth it after you flew out a second story window and had a few ribs broken." The other part of that story was how his hacker girlfriend had stolen the gun right out from her grasp and given it to a Rossi mafia member. In truth, they needed to arm themselves with better equipment before taking on that mafia...even if it wasn't the actual family that had the gun themselves. Unless they did. Then that only made things more complicated. Regardless, they were strapped for cash and they needed to get some money flowing into their accounts. And this job was an easy one.

Standing up, Jasmine put her ear piece in and pinned any loose hair to her head. She didn't need any of that falling off of her. As she got herself ready to go,she spoke to Siresh, not bothering to look at him. "Alright, is everything ready to go? I'm going to start making my way over to the door. Tell me when the alarms are turned off, will you?" The question was more like her telling him he was going to do it than asking him to. The sooner he got the system down, the sooner she could get in and get the thing. Regardless, Jasmine walked over to the back of the store and waited for Siresh's word.

"Ouch." He said as he recalled the pain of getting thrown out a window and crashing down to the bottom, then having his everything rolled in glass. It still hurt. What hurt even more were the medical bills, truth be told. That's why they were on this little job right now. Hopefully they'd be able to work their way up to bigger and better things after that humiliation.

"I'm on it. I'll let you know when it's down. The camera's are still rolling though, so take a good look at these angles before you leave, ja?" And after she would leave, he'd be hard at work in turning off the alarms.

Siresh does not get into the alarm mainframe and cannot disarm the alarms at this time and therefore gives no word to Jasmine.

Jasmine, roll a Memory or similar Talent within reason as you're waiting on this blunder and still have to recall where all the cameras are and are facing.

How hard was it to just hack into this system? Was it more complex than Siresh thought? Or was he being an ass and was going to have her sweat a bit? With a huff, Jasmine waited around on his word. Better be safe than sorry, right? Didn't need the TCPD having her face blown up all over the city trying to find her. And speaking of that...Jasmine quickly glanced around to see if she could remember were the cameras where at the moment. Again, she didn't need the entire city knowing she just stole everything.
