Who Dun It? [Mission levle 2]

Merfuck. Damn it. It was a finger flub and this girl thought he was into all sorts of weird shit at work now. He slapped his hand to his forehead and slid his hand down over his flushed face. Harper began typing for him so because apparently he was in very poor condition to do so. She asked him again what sort of creature could do such a thing to this poor woman. This poor daycare teacher of all people? Who fucking poured magma into a pure woman's vagina like that? "Maybe we can try to look her up. See what kind of race she is. Maybe it was an honest accident. Something she thought she could handle but then couldn't?" It was an odd suggestion perhaps. "I mean. People pour hot wax on others for fun?" Same thing right? Regardless, maybe they should focus one case at a time? They only had one computer after all. He tried to think on how to make himself useful in the meantime. Look at this file on the potential shark or merfuck attack and perhaps find some kind of clue in the file. Specifically he looked into locations. Where the remains were found, were there any other potential locations where the body was consumed? Maybe where he was seen alive last.

Abel, you're going to need to take some classes or something cos this is not your thing bud. You at least are pretty good at looking at a computer screen. So there's that.
Harper finds a list of names who have legally entered the city that are classified as merfolk. Skimming through that list you're able to scratch out a few names just due to your ability to roam through the system. The database gives you a lot of information, maybe too much at times. You know certain people are a no for certain because you're a good detective. You see in the file that the remains were found on the 12th of December but due to the autopsy the wounds and age of the remains lead you to believe the murder occurred at least two weeks prior. You pick a handful of days that would classify as 2 weeks ago, the 26th of November to the 2nd of December. The system tells you exactly where those list of people where on those dates. A number of them were out of town or never even checked in remotely near the ocean. You have a few names now. But something is still off about these names. Your great ability to use logic in your training makes you believe that perhaps this criminal is one who slipped in under the radar and may not have a file at all in this database...

So now it's a matter of finding a needle in a haystack again. How do you find something that can not be found by a search engine? Isn't recorded by any documentation? You're talking some kind of merfolk creature still. Maybe there are a few calls you can make? Good luck.

Harper let out an annoyed breath. There were so many different Merfolk here, yet nothing came up. Not one of these people here matched up with what it was they were looking for. However, she took down some names and some numbers. She's just going to have to make a few phone calls. Maybe one of them would have some information for her. Anything could help. Calling Kaleb or Westly weren't going to save her this time. Not on this case. But...there is still the fact of looking up this woman like Abel asked her to. "Yeah, let me pull her up then and see what was going on with her. But we have a problem with the Merfolk. From what I could tell, the person we're looking for simply walked up on the shore and never registered themselves in the database. So we have an illegal here. How we're gonna find them, we'll never know. Some way...one day."

Shaking her head, Harper glanced down at the name of the woman that had been half melted and pulled up her file in their system. Whatever she was, either she was confident in her own powers, or she never knew what was getting into. However.... "I don't know how people could be into that. Hot Wax? No thank you."

Ok...so looking through everything he couldn't determine anything worth his while. Harper's search was fruitful though and she came up with the fact that their perpetrator was not a legal citizen here. His favorite, border patrol. Keeping all the folks that belonged out, out. And if they got in, bringing them in for questioning and then getting their paperwork squared away if they turned out the innocent type. "I can make a few calls to the harbor and see if the guys there know anything. Sometimes they have no choice but to let people through. Once they wash up on our shore either by chance or on purpose, they let em walk to do the right thing or leave it to us. Worth a shot." With that he'll make the call over to harbor side border patrol unit.

As Abel keeps getting creepier and creepier, Harper tip typitys at the keyboard and finds the profile on miss Stacy Clomack. She was a devil, an Ice Devil actually. The ironic horror of it, her body was probably able to cool down the magma a great deal but still wasn't enough to keep her alive. Though something hot as hell should not have been such a damaging force to such a creature on a normal occasion. Those creatures are known to not be very phased by fire anyway. Able's logic does make sense. What if she invited this on herself? Maybe there was no case here after all.

Your call is successful, Abel. The border guys told you that there was definitely a siren that has come through more recently illegally. She's been seen since roaming around town, and lucky for you she was seen with Trever Valentine II recently. You have a name to bring in for questioning. Though not a suspect, this is a bonus name that is not on my original list but I will accept it for this case. Congrats!

An ice Devil? Well....that was interesting. But, maybe she just wanted to know if she could handle it. See if she could stop it. Obviously she couldn't, but she still died. She was still murdered. By accident, sure, but it still was a death and the person walked away. "The woman is an Ice Devil. Something like this shouldn't have happened, but it did. Regardless if it was an accident or not, we have a dead body and someone didn't report it. That person knew they killed them. Unless it was some weird suicide attempt. And if that was the case...why there? Wouldn't eating magma be easier?" Harper started to do another search on the data base after getting any contact info for our dead woman here. If she can't remember the supernatural type off the top of her head, at the very least she could look it up. Whatever could have came into contact with her must have been a very hot creature. And not hot as in looks. "Try and see if you can't get into contact with someone to maybe place the last person she had seen, Abel. Since your phone call went so well."
