Race: Quetzalcoatl

Origin: The Quetzalcoatl came from Aztec mythology, it's name translated from nahautl, to "feathered serpent". Originally it was a name of one of their gods, but now it's a name referred to for the giant feathered serpents that roam the world.

Today's life: In religion snakes are known to be creatures of evil, banished forever to slither against the ground. In nature, snakes are feared for being predators. Striking fear into prey. Coatls, as they are nicknamed, are known to be able to blend into society. Some of them make a honest living, while most fall into the darker places in the city. Most of which are excellent at using their snake like nature to bluff, and intimidate people.

A small description: There creatures are large snakes, that come in different colors and styles. They can have multiple wings, a single set, or none. Wings are feathered, and those without wings tend to have feathers along their bodies.

Abilities/Magic: The Quetzalcoatls, or rather, the Coatls are known to be able to shift forms between their snake form, and their human-like "illusion" at will. This being said, they are GIANT snakes, some even being big enough to swallow a horse whole. Because they are reptiles, this means they are cold blooded. Making them digest food slower then a warm blooded creature. This means if a Coatl eats a large meal, say, one of human sized proportions, they are stuck with that meal in their belly. There is no changing back until that meal has been digested, which is why many Coatls eat smaller meals, so they can switch back and forth.

In mythology, Quetzalcoatl could control the wind. As do some of the more powerful Coatls in modern day.

Because MOST of the Coatls have wings, most of them can fly.

These snakes can come from different regions, meaning they are different breeds of snakes. Some may be venomous, killing with a bite and pumping toxin into you. While others are constrictors who can squeeze the life from your body.

Race: Unicorn

Origin: Through out history there's been some type of unicorn, or unicorn like creature in every region or religion. Japan has the Kirin, the Bible has the Re'em (often translated to unicorn). Even Scotland is represented by one.

In European folklore, the unicorn is often depicted as a white horse-like or goat-like animal with a long horn and cloven hooves (sometimes a goat's beard). In the Middle Ages and Renaissance, it was commonly described as an extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace, which could be captured only by a virgin. In the encyclopedias, its horn was said to have the power to render poisoned water potable and to heal sickness.

Unicorns are easily one of the most recognizable magical creatures in the magic world, but sadly near extinction. As they had been hunted for their body parts, magic, and most importantly their horn. Which in itself, holds a over whelming amount of magic.

What most people don't know there are two sides of the unicorn world, no gray space between them. Unicorns (in this universe) are split into two catagorys. Light, and Dark sided.

Light sided unicorns are the ones seen in many fairy tales. Using their powers over light, and healing to help those in need.  As they tend to protect the forests, and the animals inside them, light sided unicorns tend to be more vegan in lifestyle.

Where the Dark sided unicorns enjoy causing chaos in the world, and encouraging evil. They don't care about eating meat or not, if it smells good, it might get eaten.
Being a magical creature, it isn't surprising some of the most powerful (wizards) have made friends with at least one unicorn. As they seem to ooze primal untapped magic.
(Also, as a side note. Unicorns can come in any natural horse color. The side they come from does NOT effect this.)

Today's life:

Both sides hide the fact that they are in fact a mystical unicorn, in fear of being hunted for various reasons.

Light side: Known to be quiet helpers of the community, protecting the weak, healing the sick, and even just doing charity work for the sake of making the world a better place. They tend to be shy of combat, but if pushed they will protect and defend themselves, or those in need around them.

Dark side: These Anti-Purity unicorns are fond of the crime business, and won't hesitate to ruin someone's life. Going out of their way to be rotten to those they deem weak, or unworthy. As well as being prone to quickly turn to violence.

Abilities/Magic:

Both sides have the ability to shift between their animal, or human for at will.

These powers listed below gain strength as the creature grows.

Light side: Light sided Unicorns magic mostly persists in healing magic, Soothing magic, and protection magic.

Healing: Treating poison, healing wounds, cleansing: food, land, or water of curses or pollution.

Soothing: Light sided unicorns are known to be able to naturally calm a situation, by means on mentally soothing someone or thing.
Protection: This magic is one used in defense, building magical barriers to stop attackers.

Dark Sided: Unicorns from the Dark Side tend to use magic associated with Poison/curses/hex magic, Madness magic, and trap magic.

Poison/curses/hex: Pretty self explanatory, Anything to do with poisons, cursing people, or hexing people.

Madness Magic: Unlike the light sided unicorns, the dark sided ones can cause chaos in the weak minded. Often forcing weaker minds to become enraged.

Race: Android
Origin: Artificial Intelligence. It is a breakthrough in technology that allows machines to act autonomously based on the codes that have been programmed into them. The research began 6 years ago in a United States military facility, lead by only the greatest minds in computer science and engineering. The developments paved the way for devices we know commonly today, such as Alexa and Siri, but these programs had hit a sort of halt up until recently. AI suitable and aware enough to be fitted within their own artificial body’s would probably have still been a far off idea of the future, if not for the recovery of the presumably destroyed military records and recent efforts toward piecing it back together and developing new research.
Today's life: Androids are not readily found in society. There are few people with the knowledge and ability to even make one. Moreover, the technology used in creating Androids is still in its infancy. At a glance, Androids look like normal humans, and with enough knowledge obtained on human behavior, an Android could theoretically come across as a natural part of society.
Abilities/Magic: Androids can have a wide variety of abilities, depending on what they have had built and programmed into them.

Race: Hellkin

Origin: Hellkin were allegedly born from a god dragon known as Tyranos. Tyranos created the species to rival the creation of the Ancients, a race created by an even mightier god dragon known as the Eldritch Dragon. Hellkin were opposites to Ancients in just about every possible way as they had strong physical traits, short lifespans, fast reproduction rates, and for what they lacked in arcane understanding they made up for in their ability to allow the mind to affect the elements and their surroundings. Early Hellkin were powerful and inherently violent beings, just as the dragon who created them was. But the average Ancient was slow to age and thus practically immortal and could live to ages still unrecorded by man. Hellkin were lucky if they could reach the age of 40 but typically by their mid 20s they would crumble to dust unexpectedly once their time had expired. The race was unstable in that fact, having so much vicious power locked within that most could not even dream of mastering before their life was over.

Tyranos wanted his children to be superior to the Ancients in every way possible. In order to see out that dream, he gave his children gifts of immortality, but at a small price. Due to the immortality of the Ancients, they kept their population quite low. Tyranos was an impatient being and wished to keep Hellkin numbers high, even if they were now immortal. The dragon god’s promise of eternal youth and endless potential only came to those of his children who replaced themselves and reproduced at least once. Reaching adulthood as early as 12-14 years of age, Hellkin reproduced in rapid numbers and now would never succumb to death under natural circumstances. This unknowingly lead to Tyranos’ undoing, as his thriving children slowly drained power from him as their numbers became too vast for him to control. Their creator ended up becoming to weak as their power rose and by the time he realized, it was too late. The Eldritch was able to defeat him, and wipe out half of the Hellkin population with the help of her own children, the Ancients.

Even with Tyranos gone, the Hellkin could still thrive and survive off of the magical remains of their fallen creator, so long as they kept and maintained him. The remaining Hellkin buried themselves and their creator far underground, to be able to preserve and protect him. The remains of the fallen god dragon is said to be in the sacred catacombs of the underground Hellkin Sanctuary of Rolland, where the Hellkin order of priests, The Sactum, still practice in praying and keeping their fallen god appeased. It is unknown how long the remaining power of Tyranos’ remains will keep the Hellkin sustained. As well, no one knows what will happen for sure when his magic finally runs dry.

Today's life: Hellkin are still very solitary creatures, only keeping to their own kind. The Sanctuary of Rolland is the only known Hellkin city, but there are few scattered nomads and perhaps even other Sanctuaries spread across the land. Rolland itself is an odd place with very odd rules. The Sanctum, the sacred order of Hellkin clergymen devoted to preserving Tyranos’ remains, have set many rules over time that aid in keeping the pool of magic from drying out. The Sanctum is also in charge of crowing their Hellkin leader, The Darkness, who assists in public affairs and maintaining law and order to the highest standard with the help of those selected within jobs of law enforcement. The Sanctum also assists in job placement for all people of Rolland as they come of age and after receiving their god given right to immortality. Typically the young that Hellkin produce from their first time breeding are handed over to The Sactum for sacrifice or otherwise consumed, in order to preserve the remaining power Tyranos’ remains have left to give.

Hellkin are not common among humans and remain hidden. The only reason we even have records of this rare race is due to one Twin City citizen who happens to be one, who was more than generous in providing information about them.

Defining Features: Hellkin can look as human as they please, but don’t be mistaken. The entire race’s body is made out of obsidian, with extreme temperatures coursing within them due to their “Blood” essentially being molten magma similar to that found below the earth’s surface. A magma core similar to earth’s is also found in their anatomy, where a heart would be located on most humanoid beings. The Core is the livelihood of a Hellkin, supplying their body with the heat source to be able to keep their blood hot and in motion, sort of similar to a heart function. Just less roadways, and more melting. Hellkin can also be called the “Volcano” race since their anatomy mimics that of one; hard and rigid on the outside but with a gooey molten inside that could burst at a given moment. Even feigning human skin, a Hellkin’s external body temperature can be upwards of 150 degrees Fahrenheit to the touch and reach almost 200 internally, though they can also remain cool to the touch, but still warm to most at about 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hellkin structure consist of a rock-solid body, black stone casts over and makes their entire shape and they can utilize their internal temperature to melt their structure in order to take on whatever shape they please, even individually reconstructing chosen parts of their anatomy. For example, shaping their arms into weapons or tools better suited for digging. Hellkin are overall immortal and have eternal youth but that does not make them invulnerable. They can die in many ways, just as people can. The easiest way to kill a Hellkin is to stab it with obsidian, straight into their Core, which makes them weak to other Hellkin specifically. Normal means of killing them can include making them simply “bleed” out as well. If they sustain grievous injuries or many injuries that cause them to lose magma, they will eventually cool down and their entire body can dry up and become inanimate. In most cases, a core can be broken from a Hellkin’s body and the pieces scattered to keep them in a state of suspended life. Returning the Core and pieces together allows the body to rebuild into itself and into a conscious state.

Race: Demi-gods
Origin: A demigod or demi-god is a minor deity, a mortal or immortal who is the offspring of a god and a human, or a figure who has attained divine status after death. They come from many different religions and regions along with the myths and legends behind them
Today's life: There are many different things a demigod can do in today’s society though there are very few that are truly noted for what they are. There is no set job that one can do and it depends solely on the demigod themselves. They really an be just about anything they want to be.
Defining Features: As children of gods, they have a very large list of defining features based on their parents. Most demigods are known to be attractive with strength and immortality, but that is not always the case. All demigods share the blood of a god or have been gifted their status after their death.
Natural Ability: This list is far too long and based on the demigods themselves. Please see the Master List of Gods and do your homework when creating them.
